The liturgy of the Nativity in the parish of St. George in Berlin
With the blessing of H. E. John Yazigi the Metropolitan of Europe, His Grace Bishop Hanna Haikal presided over the solemnity of the Nativity in the church of St. George in Berlin. Revd. Fr. Constantine (from the Greek parish) and Deacon Sarkis Khouri (from the Antiochian parish in Berlin) assisted Him. Among the congregation there was a delegation from the Lebanese embassy. At the end of the Liturgy His Grace delivered a homily in which he underlined the importance of charity for the poor. He relayed the congratulations of the Metropolitan to all the faithful. After the service, a group of children chanted songs and chants of Christmas in Arabic and German. Afterwards, His Grace distributed gifts to the children. At the end there was an Agape for all the faithful present.
