His Eminence Metropolitan John received the Metropolitan of Germany of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, His Eminence Metropolitan Augustine, accompanied by Bishop Bartholomew. Meeting over dinner, they discussed common ecclesiastical matters which our parishes are facing in Germany. In his address to the people of the parish, Metropolitan Augustine, having observed the zeal of the Antiochian people and their love for their Pastor, emphasised the unity of the Church which is achieved by gathering the faithful around their bishops so that they are one body.
