His Eminence Metropolitan John Yazigi presided over the Sunday Divine Liturgy in the parish of St. George in Berlin. Their Graces Bishops Hanna Haikal and Ephraim Malouli concelebrated. Fathers Boulos Altendagholo (Cologne) Constantine (the Ecumenical Patriarchate) Lubomir (Bulgarian Church) and Deacon Gerasimos Kabbas assisted.
During this solemn Divine Liturgy, the sacerdotal ordination of Deacon Sarkis Khouri took place.
In his homily, the Metropolitan explained to the faithful the meaning of the Gospel Reading of this Sunday. He also congratulated the newly ordained and wished him a blessed service of priesthood. He reminded him that the pledge which he had received today should be preserved always. His Eminence also congratulated the parishioners and the family of the newly ordained priest. He also congratulated His Grace Bishop Hanna, bearing in mind that this ordination was a fruit of his pastoral work within this blessed parish. He also shared his joy in this respect with the parishioners of the parish.
After the Divine Liturgy, all were invited to an Agape prepared by the faithful.
