On Sunday the 12th of February 2012, the parish of St. Demetrius witnessed the first Divine Liturgy of His Eminence John of Europe with the auxiliary bishop Ephraim Malouli.
At the end of the solemn Liturgy the Metropolitan John addressed the newly ordained bishop wishing him a fruitful Episcopal service. He congratulated the parishioners with the new bishop who will stay among them. He asked them to collaborate with him and to help him for the good of the Church. He presented him with an Engolpion.
Bishop Ephraim concluded his speech thanking God for his gift. He also thanked His Eminence for his fraternal love and precious trust. He addressed the faithful and expressed his real feeling to be among a real family which is the ideal Church.
Afterward, there was an Agape in which all faithful participated.
