Invited by the Holy monastery of Stavronikita, His Grace Hanna Haikal visited the Holy Mountain. He presided over the feast of St. Nicholas the patron saint (according to the ancient calendar). In the Liturgy, His Grace ordained the monk Theophanes as priest. After the lunch, the Abbot Tikhon welcomed His Grace and mentioned the good relations which existed between the Holy Mountain and the Antiochian Patriarchate. He also expressed his joy at welcoming the new bishop for he is a spiritual son of the monastery. His Grace delivered a homily in which he thanked the Abbot and monks for the invitation. He also thanked His Holiness, the Ecumenical Patriarch, with whose blessing and permission the visit was authorized. His Grace also wished the newly ordained deacon a blessed service based on the obedience and the fraternal love toward the Abbot, the fathers and the brothers.
