Meeting of our parish priests in Britain and Ireland

His Eminence Metropolitan John resided over a meeting of our parish priests in Britain and Ireland to discuss issues of concern to them.

The meetings began with a prayer, and the issues discussed covered pastoral, spiritual, and liturgical matters. His Eminence emphasized the need to work in unison in order to serve the faithful. Before closing, the assembly agreed to adopt Saint Theodore of Tarsus the Antiochian (commemorated on September 19) as the patron saint of our Antiochian flock in Britain, and Saint Patrick (commemorated on March 17) as the patron saint of our flock in Ireland.
