Vespers Service at the Church of St. Ignatius, Belfast, and opens an icon exhibition

His Eminence presided over a Vespers service in the church of Saint Ignatius of Antioch in Belfast in the presence of the Mr. Michael Earle, Executive Secretary of the Irish Inter-Church Meeting, the local bishop Alan Abernethy, and representatives of churches and universities in Belfast.

The parish priest Fr. Irenaeus welcomed His Eminence and emphasized the importance of these meetings between the churches. He then spoke to Mr. Michael Earle, Executive Secretary of the Irish Inter-Church Meeting, and Fr. Gray Toman, who represents the priests on universities, about ways to increase cooperation between the churches for the good of the church in general.

After Vespers, His Eminence blessed the opening of an exhibition for Byzantine icons from all over the world. This was followed by a meal which the parish had prepared for the guests.
